Job Purpose:

To oversee and execute the commissioning activities of

Instrumentation and Control Systems

on onshore oil & gas facilities, ensuring systems are installed, tested, calibrated, and fully operational in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and HSE regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and manage pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up activities for onshore instrumentation and control systems. Ensure all instrumentation equipment (transmitters, sensors, control valves, etc.) is installed and tested in compliance with engineering specifications. Perform loop checks, logic checks, function testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of field instrumentation and control systems. Supervise and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other discipline engineers to ensure successful system integration. Interface with DCS, PLC, SCADA, and ESD systems to verify configuration and functionality. Assist with Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and punch list resolution. Maintain commissioning records, red-line markups, and "as-built" documentation. Enforce strict adherence to onshore safety procedures and permit-to-work systems during all commissioning phases. Provide technical support to construction and operations teams. Participate in system walk-downs, inspections, and handover to the operations team.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics Engineering. 5+ years of relevant experience in commissioning within

onshore oil & gas projects

(UAE experience preferred). Strong knowledge of control systems (DCS, PLC, ESD), instrumentation devices, and communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Foundation Fieldbus). Able to interpret P&IDs, I/O lists, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and wiring drawings. Good command of English (written and verbal) and strong report-writing skills. Familiar with international codes and standards (ISA, IEC, API, etc.). ADNOC or similar client project experience is an added advantage. Strong commitment to safety and quality assurance.
