Job Description

1) Supervises all activities of assigned personnel, Performs supervisory functions at the level established by the management for the position.

2) Receives, reviews, execute incoming work requests for repairs/maintenance of Fire Alarm systems, Building Management System, Access Control System, Chiller Management Systems, PLC controlled equipment and processes, Field Instrumentation devices ( pressure, temperature, flow, level, Actuators, MOV's , Control Valves, Recorders, Process Analyzers, Standalone controllers, etc.), Audio Visual System, SCADA system, Basic Networks and other low voltage equipment.

3) Processes the work requests after filling in the required materials, man hours, and skill levels. Allocates work to subordinates and contractors, checks progress providing instructions and advice as necessary and ensures that all the completed work conforms to established work standards and statutory requirements.

4) Provides advice related to the planning and commissioning of new projects, which includes liaising with inter discipline engineers within the department, with vendors, consultants, and contractors. He reviews drawings, evaluates systems, drafts scope of work for Plant changes, snags completed projects and generates all relevant work reports.

5) Participates in, and personally carries out the complex installation repair and maintenance of all the electronic and instrumentation control systems in the premises. He provides technical advice to his subordinates, and ensures the proper use of tools and test equipment. He carries out function tests on the repairs carried out prior to reinstating the systems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years of varied maintenance and operational experience in the field of Instrumentation.

An aptitude and experience in programmable logic controls, SCADA Control system, PROFIBUS based instrumentation and controls, software based Fire Alarm, Building Management System, Chiller Management System, Access Control System and basic knowledge in networking is mandatory.

Completion of secondary education, followed by 4 years Degree in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering is a requirement.

Must be very familiar with the use of the computer and its applications. Very good interpersonal skills and adaptability to work in a multinational environment.

Should possess knowledge on Microsoft Server OS,BACNET,KNX Protocol, MODBUS, RS-485/432.

Should have thorough knowledge in field instrumentation and its maintenance aspects.

Should have thorough knowledge on control and modulating valves.
