Job Description

Minimum Qualification:

3 years Diploma with two to three years of industrial experience (OR) Technical Certificate with five to six years of industrial experience (OR) Schooling education with nine to ten years of industrial experience.
Competencies:

Skills & Experience:

Power & Water plant Industrial experience is preferred. Basic knowledge of Mechanical Tools and applications Shall be able to perform day-to-day Mechanical Maintenance jobs as per
prescribed procedures and protocols.

Good skills in Mechanical works like drilling, cutting & grinding etc. Good skills in Pump disassembly /assembly and alignment. Good skills in Turbine, valves, and Heat exchanger maintenance and
overall works.

Good skills in repairing different types of pipeline-related works. Sound understanding of safe chemical /fuel handling practices. Good understanding of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Good knowledge about General safety in industries. Basic knowledge of computers, preferably in MS Office. Able to read and interpret the drawings, P&IDs, sectional views, isometrics, etc. o Knowledge about Risk Assessment preparation is preferred o Participate in activity-based risk assessments o Participate & follow the instructions mentioned in pre-job briefings & POWRA (Point Of Work Risk Assessment) o Maintain good housekeeping in the workplace. o Adhere to the company's safe system of work procedures. o Must have good knowledge about using maintenance tools, measurement devices o Follow workplace signage and barricades. Brief description of the Job: Will need to carry out troubleshooting, routine and non-routine mechanical equipment maintenance and assist in overhauls of all mechanical equipment related to the Power & Water plant, inclusive of Pumps, Fans, Turbines, Valves, Heat exchangers, pipes, etc. The above is not intended as an exhaustive list but is just indicative. The scope will include the execution of all jobs as would be advised by the Engineer & Supervisor from time to time General / Organizational skills: o Good English communication skills- (Reading, writing, and speaking) o Should be a team player. o Punctual and good time management. o Initiative, willing to learn, embracing continuous improvement. o Building strong working relationships & positive work environment. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to the following hazards. o Electrical hazards which could potentially produce electrical shock, burns, fire, etc. o Often required to work indoors and outdoors at high/low temperatures & humidities. This could potentially produce dehydration, heat stress, muscle cramps, heat stroke etc. o Exposed Mechanical hazards mainly with or being caught by dangerous moving parts. (Eg: Entanglement, drawing-in or trapping, stabbing, puncture, abrasion etc.)
