Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to support the operation and maintenance of instrumentation systems in a sewage treatment plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of all instrumentation and control systems to ensure efficient and uninterrupted plant operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventive maintenance of instrumentation equipment such as pressure transmitters, level sensors, flow meters, analyzers (pH, DO, turbidity, etc.), and SCADA systems. Install, test, calibrate, and commission new instruments and control devices as per standard procedures and specifications. Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning instruments and related control systems in a timely manner. Monitor and maintain proper functioning of PLCs, RTUs, SCADA systems, and automation panels. Support process control optimization by ensuring instrumentation readings are accurate and reliable. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, calibration reports, and spare parts usage. Assist in plant shutdown/start-up activities and participate in corrective maintenance during emergencies or failures. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards and procedures. Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and operations teams for integrated plant maintenance. Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools for instrumentation systems.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

Diploma / ITI in Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent technical field.

Experience:

Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in instrumentation maintenance, preferably in sewage treatment or water treatment plants.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in handling analytical instruments and transmitters. Understanding of PLCs, SCADA systems, and automation logic. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.

Other Requirements:

Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends or emergencies.

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
