Job Description

Infrastructure Team Lead The Team Leader reports to a Business Group Leader (varies) and has direct management responsibility for staff within their Service Group. The Team Leader is the line manager for direct reports within their Service Group and collaborates with all Business Group Leaders to achieve \xe2\x80\x98best for project\xe2\x80\x99 and target utilization outcomes. Roles and responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of the Business Group Strategy and plan, with delegated responsibility for some operational aspects of the plan;
  • Lead and undertake relationship building and work winning with clients Ensure consistent high-quality delivery of projects and client satisfaction scores for the Service Group;
  • Manage the achievement of utilisation targets, maximising financial performance through effective performance conversations and active leave management;
  • Responsible for ensuring we have the \xe2\x80\x98right\xe2\x80\x99 technical capability at set-up and these resources are committed for the duration of the project;
  • Ensure that PD & PM are consistently delivering technical accuracy and quality assurance for successful project delivery;
  • Collaborate with Technical Service Leaders, and contribute to Delivery; Transformation initiatives, to drive continuous efficiency and quality improvements through the Service Group;
  • Support Business Group Leader and Technical Service Leader with recruitment of new capabilities aligned with strategy.
  • Develop and mentor Project Managers and Project Directors (where relevant) to deliver quality work on time/budget;
  • Ensures the Service Group is effectively resourced to deliver current and emerging workload;
  • Ensure people in the Service Group receive the pastoral care and development they need to build their careers and to sustain the growth of GHD;
  • Proactively seek to improve employee engagement metrics across workforce;
  • Manage execution of the annual calendar of operational activities for the Service Group;
  • Manage monthly and annual reporting and performance management for the Service group.
To be successful in this role, you will posses:
  • Proven experience in managing medium sized teams;
  • Proven experience in achieving project performance and utilization targets.
  • Strong record of delivering technical excellence.
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills;
  • Capacity to plan and manage within a 1-2 year time horizon;
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Relevant technical background and experience
