Job Description

Help AG is looking for a Senior Security Engineer - HSM & PKI to lead the management and integration of secure key management systems and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) services. This role focuses on maintaining high-security standards using Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), PKI platforms such as DigiCert ONE, and Linux-based server environments.

Responsibilities

Integrate and manage Thales Hardware Security Modules (HSMs) for secure key storage and encryption operations. Operate and maintain PKI and Certificate Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems, preferably DigiCert ONE. Administer Linux servers, ensuring stability, patching, performance, and automation via scripting tools like Bash or Python. Perform regular system upgrades, apply patches, and maintain thorough documentation of changes. Provide timely support for infrastructure incidents and service requests. Ensure high availability, redundancy, and optimal performance of core systems in accordance with enterprise standards.

Qualifications and Skills

5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure or security engineering roles. Strong proficiency in Linux administration, scripting, and automation. Hands-on experience with PKI systems and CLM platforms, with preference for DigiCert ONE. Proven expertise with Thales HSMs or similar enterprise-grade key management systems. Relevant certifications in PKI, HSM, or information security technologies (e.g., DigiCert Certified Specialist, Thales HSM certification, CompTIA Security+, etc.).
