Construction Description: Roads &Utilities

Monitoring and managing the performance of assets such as power grids, water distribution systems, bridges, and roads using data from automated systems that monitor performance indicators such as temperatures, traffic flow, and structural integrity
Coordinating with other departments within the organization to ensure that projects meet standards for design, construction, and maintenance
Managing staff members who are responsible for specific areas of infrastructure, such as facilities management or mechanical engineering
Evaluating existing infrastructure to determine if it needs to be repaired, replaced, or expanded to accommodate future needs
Conducting inspections of facilities and structures to ensure they meet safety standards
Overseeing the design, construction, and maintenance of facilities such as roads, bridges, sewers, and dams
Providing consultation to companies or governments regarding how to improve their infrastructure or how to utilize existing infrastructure more effectively
Monitoring compliance with federal regulations regarding environmental impact and safety standards, including those issued by the Occupational Safety
Managing budgets for infrastructure projects and overseeing their completion
