We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused
Indoor Salesman
with expertise in
building materials
to join our team. The role involves handling walk-in customers, understanding their requirements, recommending suitable materials, preparing quotations, and processing orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and assist walk-in customers and contractors at the sales counter.
Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate building materials (cement, blocks, tiles, plumbing, electricals, hardware, etc.).
Generate sales quotations and follow up for order confirmations.
Coordinate with the store and logistics teams to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain the showroom/display area and ensure product knowledge is up-to-date.
Maintain proper documentation and records of inquiries, quotations, and sales.
Achieve monthly sales targets and contribute to team performance.
Stay informed about market trends, new products, and competitor pricing.
Handle basic cash and billing processes when required.
Requirements:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in indoor sales, preferably in building materials.
Good knowledge of construction products and their applications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, ERP/sales software).
Fluency in English; Arabic/Hindi is a plus.
Customer-oriented with a proactive attitude.
