Summary: We are seeking a hardworking and dedicated Commi 1 to join our team at our Indian restaurant. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our chefs in preparing high-quality Indian cuisine and ensuring that food is prepared to the highest standards. Responsibilities:
- Preparing ingredients and assisting the chefs in the preparation of meals
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen
- Following food safety guidelines and ensuring that food is prepared according to recipe
- Setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Assisting with the plating of dishes and garnishing of plates
- Ensuring that all food is presented in a visually appealing manner
- Cleaning and sanitizing cooking utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Assisting with inventory management and ordering of supplies
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times
- Experience working in a professional kitchen
- Knowledge of Italian cuisine preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and perform physically demanding tasks
