Position Overview
The Inclusion Teacher at GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Dubai will play a pivotal role in supporting Students of Determination (SEND) and Gifted students to ensure equitable access to the British curriculum. This position is designed for educators with a strong background in inclusive practices, advanced training in special educational needs, and a commitment to research-driven, future-focused education. The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, parents, and external specialists to provide tailored interventions, assistive technologies, and holistic support that foster meaningful student outcomes.
Core Duties

• Design, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs
• Deliver differentiated instruction and interventions, both in-class and through pull-out support sessions
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, counselors, and leadership teams to promote inclusive practices across the school
• Utilize assistive technology and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies to support equitable access
• Ensure compliance with KHDA guidelines, UAE educational policies, and global best practices in Inclusion
• Provide training and guidance to staff to enhance understanding and application of inclusive teaching methods
• Engage parents and external experts in developing holistic support strategies for students
• Contribute to community events and extracurricular activities to strengthen the inclusive culture of the school

Candidate Requirements

• Master's in Special Education Needs (SEN) or Inclusion plus a relevant PGCE
• Minimum 3 years' experience as an Inclusion leader in an international, high-performing school
• Experience across a through-school environment (age 3-18) preferred
• Strong track record of improving Inclusion provision in line with current UK, UAE, and global policies
• Knowledge of KHDA Inclusion guidelines and UAE education frameworks
• Expertise in managing IEPs, multi-tiered systems of support, and evidence-based interventions
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with parents, staff, and external specialists
• Familiarity with cutting-edge tools such as AI, robotics, and assistive technology in learning environments
• Passion for equity and student-centered education with a reflective, growth mindset
