We at Al Sharqi Shipping Co LLC. are looking for Import Shipment Coordinator, who is responsible for ensuring that all shipments are properly documented and meet all custom requirements. Position is Ajman based. Responsibilities
  • Recording new shipments as per the pre-alert received from Customers
  • Checking & verifying all the documents with the BL.
  • Inform customers, if the items are required any specific permits to import in UAE.
  • 50% of the shipments are food items and required a Dubai Municipality account, registration & approval.
  • Ensure that the customers are having enough documents to clear the shipment by verifying the HS Code requirement with Customs team.
  • Update customers on shipments status.
  • Realize the shipment scope of work.
  • Walk-in customers should make the payment in advance, before starting the shipment process. So follow up with them until they are making us the payment.
  • Approx. amount can be calculated from the given the quotation to customer.
  • Duties and taxes can be calculated from the Commercial Documents provided by the customers.
  • Ensure Original documents should receive from Customer for Customs Submission well in advance.
  • Preparing DO authorization letter and share with customers for returning back in their letter head with sign & stamp
  • Once DO collected by DO issuing team, post on yammer for customs clearance along with the shipping docs
  • Follow up with the customs team in order to get the clearance on time.
  • Arrange Transportation with our team or outsourced and provide them delivery location, contact number & delivery time.
  • Arrange labors from our warehouse if required to offload the container.
  • Invoicing the shipment charges once the delivery completed, as per the quotation provided to them.
  • Once Invoice is been prepared, share with the customer and follow up until they are making the payment.
  • Once payment made, check with the accounts whether the payment has been credited to company bank account and issue them the payment receipt and close the file.
Requirements
  • Bachelors / Masters preferably in Supply Chain Management (any other bachelors\' degree will also be considered)
  • Experience: At least 2 years in Logistics and Freight Forwarding industry
  • Must possess excellent communication skills \xe2\x80\x93 Written & Verbal (English)
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and possess good computer skills.
  • Good with email drafting.
  • An excellent team player and able to work well under pressure.
  • Possess good Time Management and Multi-Tasking skills.
