About the role

As an Image & Style Officer, you will be responsible to maintain the highest standards of uniformed employees in the Qatar Airways lounges by performing checks on customer-facing employees (uniform/non-uniform) to ensure that personal grooming and image is in accordance with company image/uniform policy and personal presentation standards.


Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:


Perform checks, monitor standards for staff, and take appropriate action against non-compliance to ensure staff image and personal grooming is up to standard. Assist line manager in delivering training by providing classroom/virtual training and feedback sessions to relevant personnel on uniform fitting, uniform wearing, and grooming standards to ensure that staff can present themselves in line with the expected QR grooming standards. Ensure all training records and assessments are filed for management review i.e., ID induction and Qbank assessments, HT/WT records. Coordinate with uniform department for uniform quality, distribution and replacement of uniform in case of any discrepancies (e.g., damages, alterations and entitlement collections) to ensure uniform standards are met at all times. Maintain cleaning of grooming suite equipment and replenished by liaising with suppliers on products relevant to the Image and Style department & continuously update inventory records. Record all grooming discrepancies on daily/shift basis for management review so that such discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner. Participate in special promo/marketing events related to the organization ensuring grooming standards among staff/ talent in uniforms are maintained and they portray the desired image. Prepare individual/shift reports highlighting major issues and the services provided and share with the Image & Style Specialist & Management for review and subsequent actions (if any). Prepare handover shift report with highlights to ensure consistency in grooming operations. Stay up to date with any changes to Image and Style policies and procedures and ensure compliance. Ensure all possible support is provided to avoid offloading/removal from duty & disruption to operation caused by improper uniform. Prepare a weekly inventory report for borrowed items and ensure it is continuously clean and in good condition to aid supporting staff. Assist security department with providing feedback for employees reporting to QR premises with inappropriate attire as and when required. Ensure all assigned follow ups are actioned on shift basis for timely closure of issues and highlight critical/unresolved cases to the line manager for further management review Provide suggestions & new ideas to the line manager on grooming matters to keep the current processes and procedures up to date. Action e-mails for promotional events selection process by management and ensure required assistance or follow-ups.

Qualifications

About you

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:


High School Qualification / Vocational Qualification /Diploma or Equivalent (Type of Diploma Based on Role) with Minimum 4 years of job-related experience; or Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 3 years of job-related experience
Job-specific skills & experience:


Good communication skills both written and verbal including command of English language. Ability to capture the attention of an audience and to follow up on messages delivered Ability to note and highlight behaviour and actions which require corrective feedback and be able to deliver that feedback in a constructive manner Ability to facilitate and demonstrate sessions on facial, make up and hair techniques and products Up-to-date knowledge and skills on skin care, make-up application and well-being of physical health Basic Computer Literacy in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint Outlook and Excel Ability to foster teamwork among team members Knowledge of uniform handling and processes (preferred)
