The position The Aga Khan Education Service (AKES), Kenya operates five schools in Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu and Eldoret ranging from nursery to secondary education, offering both national and international curricula. AKES, Kenya is part of a larger network of more than 195 schools and educational programmes known as the Aga Khan Education Services (AKES).

This network provides quality pre-primary, primary and secondary education to students in East Africa, South and Central Asia and the Middle East. Today, AKES serves over 105,000 students each year. AKES is part of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), a group of private development agencies dedicated to improving the quality of life of those in need, mainly in Asia and Africa, irrespective of their origin, faith or gender.

AKES, Kenya has an opening for the following positions:

ICT SUPPORT ASSOCIATE: 2 positions (Kisumu & Nairobi)

Role Summary The individual is expected to offer support and assistance in the implementation and maintenance of ICT Infrastructure at the school.

Key Responsibilities Logging and resolution of ICT requests and escalating promptly Assist in the implementation and support of all ICT initiatives and information systems Assist in the implementation of ICT policies and design of Standard Operation Procedures Ensure timely installation, configuration, and maintenance of ICT hardware, software, and network equipment Assist in the implementation of information security-related best practices for all ICT services available at AKES, Kenya units Assist schools in identifying and quantifying ICT needs with guidance from the central office IT Maintain updated inventory records for ICT hardware, software, and network equipment within the cluster Ensure regular updates to operating systems, anti-malware solutions, and other systems for all computers Ensure preventive maintenance and service of ICT equipment quarterly Ensure timely troubleshooting and repair of faulty ICT equipment; liaise with respective departments and external service providers for resolution of technical issues Provide technical training to the users of ICT services as and when required.

The requirements Qualifications and Experience Relevant ICT degree from a reputable institution Relevant ICT Certifications Working knowledge of IT-based educational management programs and software Expert knowledge and skills in networking and cybersecurity 2 years of experience in an ICT environment preferably in a learning institution.Applicants should send an application letter, CV, copies of their certificates, and testimonials demonstrating how their experience fits the position through the AKDN Career Centre to be received by 6th April 2023.
