About the Role:

Sub-Region: Middle East, India Subcontinent & Africa (MISA)
Reporting To: ICT Site Services Manager (Malaysia based)
Office Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The MISA ICT Site Services Team Lead is a key role in the ICT function in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the sub-regional ICT Site Services team, based remotely across the sub-region in locations in Middle East, India and Africa. The role reports to the ICT Site Services Manager (based in Malaysia and covering entire Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa region) and will be directed functionally by the Regional & Global Infrastructure team.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the different internal ICT department teams to ensure delivery of highly effective support solutions to the business. Based in Dubai, you will be strategically based to partner with senior leaders on the MISA leadership team, so effective and professional stakeholder management and communication skills are essential. Experience with resource and project management and previous experience managing remote teams, are also skills that are key to success in this role.

You should be able to travel and occasionally support out of hours, on weekends or on public holidays, if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:
  • Lead, manage and motivate the MISA ICT Site Services Team, promoting a collaborative and positive working environment
  • Instil a \'Safety First, Quality Always\' approach and create a high-performance culture where continuous improvement is embraced
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to team members - this includes regular 1-2-1 meetings, conducting appraisals, coaching, managing absence and poor performance / non-conformity
Operation Management:
  • Monitor and manage the delivery of IT services, ensuring that service requests, incidents, change requests and any problems are handled efficiently and professionally
  • Implement best practices and standardized procedures for daily operations
  • Continuously assess and improve operational workflows
  • Allocate and manage resources (personnel, equipment, and tools) to meet daily operational needs
  • Coordinate with other ICT teams to ensure proper resource allocation and utilization
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to procure ICT equipment and services
  • Assist in budget planning and monitor site-level ICT expenditures
ICT Support:
  • Provide level 2 ICT support to internal and external business customers, including level 2 hardware and software support, either remotely or at local level for all Desktop, Laptop PC\'s and printers
  • Provide 1st line LAN support at current location along with remote site locations
  • Update all user queries through incident tracking system regarding call progression and completion in a timely manner based on service level agreements
  • Responsible for delivery and installation of new ICT hardware and software in line with current ICT global processes and procedures
  • Ultimately responsible for maintenance and support of all infrastructure at the site at which you are based
Project Management & Execution:
  • Manage project plans for multiple small to large projects, organise resouces, validate timings and cost estimates, and understand key bottlenecks / anticipate impact on future deliverables.
Business Engagement:
  • Hold / attend regular review / planning meetings with the business / function to discuss progress with IT portfolio and formulate action plans
  • Proactive in identifying opportunities, new ideas and solutions that will bring value to the business. Identify and deliver on innovations and continuous improvement programs
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum Diploma in Computer / Information Technology, or related field. Any IT certification (PMP, Prince2, ITIL, CompTIA, MCSE, CCNA, etc.) is beneficial, but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 years\' work experience in a comparable job role, with previous experience managing / supervising a team (particularly if the team is remote)
  • Knowledgeable in all forms of environmental hardware - including, but not limited to, Intel desktop and laptop PC\'s, printers, mobile devices (e.g., iOS devices, tablets, scanners, cameras, factory specific devices, internal/external mobile devices), projectors/TV\'s, touchscreens)
  • Knowledgeable in Operating Systems currently in work environment - including, but not limited, to Windows 11/10/7, iOS and potentially Android, OS image creation/maintenance/ management/deployment
  • Knowledgeable in environmental Software such as Office 365, Citrix, Azure, Endpoint Protector, Cisco technology, Antivirus & malware tools
  • Familiarity with project management and delivery methodologies and systems is a major advantage
