Job Description

Responsible for maintaining hygiene standards and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in food service or food production environments. Their duties include overseeing cleaning operations, inspecting facilities, training staff, and managing hygiene-related documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring Cleanliness and Sanitation:


Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all areas, including kitchens, dining areas, storage spaces, and back-of-house areas.

Inspections and Audits:


Conducting regular hygiene inspections and audits to identify areas of concern and ensure compliance with established protocols.

Developing and Implementing Policies:


Creating and implementing hygiene and cleaning policies in accordance with local and international health and safety regulations.

Staff Training and Supervision:


Supervising and training stewarding teams, ensuring staff understand and adhere to hygiene standards and food safety practices.

Inventory Management:


Controlling and managing inventories of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring cost-effective usage and adequate stock levels.

Collaboration with Other Teams:


Working with other departments, such as food and beverage and kitchen staff, to ensure hygiene protocols are followed throughout the operation.

Documentation and Reporting:


Maintaining accurate records of hygiene practices, inspections, and any incidents or areas of concern, and reporting to relevant personnel.

Equipment Maintenance:


Ensuring all cleaning equipment is in good working order and properly maintained.

Following Procedures:


Ensuring all tasks are completed according to company procedures and health and safety guidelines.

Essential Qualities and Skills:

Knowledge of Food Safety Standards:

A strong understanding of food hygiene standards and procedures, including HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).

Communication Skills:

Effective communication skills are crucial for training staff, collaborating with other teams, and reporting to management.

Supervisory Skills:

The ability to lead, motivate, and supervise a team effectively.

Attention to Detail:

Meticulous attention to detail is essential for conducting thorough inspections and maintaining accurate documentation.

Problem-Solving Skills:

The ability to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.

Flexibility:

The ability to work in various locations and adapt to changing situations.

IT Skills:

Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software, such as auditing or CRM software.

Pay: QAR2,500.00 - QAR3,000.00 per month
