: Hydraulic Engineering Technician

Job Overview:

A Hydraulic Engineering Technician is responsible for assisting in the planning, design, construction, and maintenance of hydraulic engineering projects. They work closely with the engineering team to ensure that hydraulic projects are carried out to standards and specifications, ensuring effective management, utilization, and protection of water resources.

Primary Responsibilities:

Engineering Planning and Design: Assist hydraulic engineers in project planning and design, including rivers, reservoirs, drainage systems, etc. Contribute to the development of construction drawings, technical specifications, and related documents.

Survey and Site Investigation: Conduct on-site surveys, measuring hydrological and geographical features, water flow rates, water levels, and other relevant data to provide accurate foundational information for project planning.

Data Analysis: Analyze hydrological data, evaluate the feasibility of water resources, and assess potential impacts, providing data-driven insights for project decisions.

Construction Supervision: Assist in overseeing the implementation of hydraulic engineering projects during the construction phase, ensuring compliance with design requirements and addressing technical challenges.

Quality Control: Conduct quality checks on engineering work to ensure that hydraulic projects meet standards and safety regulations.

Technical Support: Provide technical support to hydraulic engineers and other relevant personnel, addressing technical queries and offering solutions.

Documentation: Maintain records of project progress, issues, and solutions, compiling engineering reports and documentation.

Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with the engineering team, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and others, coordinating project activities.

Safety Management: Pay attention to safety concerns at construction sites, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications:

Background in relevant fields such as hydraulic engineering, water resources, civil engineering, etc., preferably with a bachelor\'s degree or higher.

Familiarity with basic principles, processes, and standards of hydraulic engineering.

Proficiency in surveying and site investigation, adept at using measurement tools and software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.

Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction procedures.

Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Proficient in computer software applications such as CAD, GIS, etc.

Prior experience in related hydraulic projects is a plus.
