HVAC Technician - Controls

Key Qualifications & Skills

Minimum

3+ years of hands-on experience

in HVAC

controls and automation systems

within Oil & Gas or industrial facilities.

Diploma / Technical Certificate

in HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering. Strong knowledge of

Building Management Systems (BMS)

,

Direct Digital Controls (DDC)

, and

Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

. Proficiency in

control system wiring, configuration, calibration, and programming

. Ability to

read, interpret, and troubleshoot

control schematics, wiring diagrams, and system drawings. Familiarity with

instrumentation sensors, actuators, communication protocols (Modbus / BACnet)

, and field devices. Working knowledge of

Qatar Energy / Oil & Gas site safety standards

and general

HVAC service safety procedures

. Good communication and reporting skills with ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, and maintain

HVAC control systems

, panels, and field devices. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair

BMS / DDC / PLC

related faults ensuring minimal downtime. Perform

calibration and parameter adjustments

for temperature, pressure, and airflow controls. Conduct

preventive and predictive maintenance

as per schedule and record observations accurately. Support

testing, commissioning, and integration

of control systems with HVAC mechanical components. Coordinate with

engineers, supervisors, and project managers

to meet technical specifications and timelines. Prepare and maintain detailed

service reports, maintenance logs, and calibration records

. Adhere strictly to

HSSE guidelines

and ensure compliance with

permit-to-work systems

and site safety protocols.

Preferred Experience

Previous exposure to

Oil & Gas maintenance, shutdown, or facility management projects

. Experience in

Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, or Johnson Controls

systems is an added advantage.

Compensation & Benefits

Total Monthly Package:

QAR 4,000 - QAR 4,500

(inclusive of

food

).

As per Qatar Labour Law and project policy.

As per project schedule.
