Senior HVAC Engineer is a leadership role focused on designing, implementing, and overseeing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. Ensure efficient and safe system operation while leading teams, managing projects, and staying abreast of industry advancements. Key Responsibilities:

System Design and Optimization:

Leading the design and optimization of complex HVAC systems, including performing calculations, using software like AutoCAD and Revit, and ensuring compliance with codes and regulations.

Project Management:

Managing one or more projects independently, including preparing deliverables, schedules, and progress reports, while ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.

Team Leadership:

Leading and mentoring HVAC engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and support.

Technical Expertise:

Serving as a technical expert in HVAC system design and implementation, troubleshooting issues, and providing solutions.

Collaboration:

Collaborating with architects, other engineers, and project managers to integrate HVAC systems into overall building design.

Quality Assurance:

Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, reviewing technical drawings and specifications, and conducting quality checks.

Staying Current:

Keeping up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies, trends, and industry best practices.

Client Interaction:

Participating in meetings with clients, understanding their needs, and presenting design solutions.
Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree:

A bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is typically required.

Experience:

Significant experience in HVAC design and project management, often 7-10 years or more.

Technical Proficiency:

Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including chilled water and DX systems, and experience with relevant software like AutoCAD, Revit, and energy modeling tools.

Leadership and Communication:

Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Problem-Solving:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical issues.

Knowledge of Codes and Standards:

Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO, NFPA, and local regulations.
