Hvac Engineer
Job Description
Responsibilities:Design HVAC systems for new construction and retrofit projects, including ductwork, piping, and controls.Perform load calculations, energy modeling, and equipment selection based on project requirements.Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems to ensure functionality and compliance.Conduct system performance evaluations and troubleshoot HVAC issues.Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other engineers (mechanical, electrical, plumbing).Ensure all designs and installations comply with relevant codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, local building codes).Recommend energy-efficient and sustainable HVAC solutions.Required SkillsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC Engineering, or a related field.Professional Engineering (PE) license (preferred or required depending on seniority and region).Proficiency in HVAC design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, HAP (Hourly Analysis Program), or EnergyPlus.Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, ventilation standards, and energy efficiency.Minimum [X] years of experience in HVAC design, installation, or maintenance (depending on level).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
