Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated

HVAC Design Engineer

with

2-3 years of experience

to join our team at

Julfar Contracting LLC

. This role will involve designing HVAC systems for high-rise building projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing HVAC systems, performing load calculations, and collaborating with architects and engineers to ensure the design is both efficient and compliant with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) for high-rise buildings and other large-scale commercial projects. Perform load calculations and equipment selection for HVAC systems based on project specifications. Prepare detailed design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software. Ensure HVAC systems are designed to meet project requirements, including energy efficiency, sustainability, and safety standards. Work closely with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to integrate HVAC systems seamlessly into the overall building design. Prepare technical documentation, including calculations, reports, and equipment schedules. Ensure compliance with local building codes, standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA), and industry best practices. Review and assist in the procurement of HVAC equipment and materials. Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems on site. Collaborate with senior engineers to solve design challenges and optimize HVAC system performance. Stay updated with the latest trends and innovations in HVAC technology, particularly for high-rise buildings.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree

in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2-3 years

of experience in HVAC system design, preferably in high-rise building projects. Proficiency in HVAC design software, such as

AutoCAD

,

Revit

, or similar tools. Solid understanding of

HVAC principles

, including load calculations, ductwork design, equipment selection, and system optimization. Familiarity with

local building codes

and

international HVAC standards

(ASHRAE, SMACNA). Good knowledge of energy-efficient HVAC systems and sustainable building practices. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Experience working on

high-rise building projects

in the UAE or similar regions. Certification from professional bodies such as

ASHRAE

LEED

, or

UAE-based certifications

. Experience with

BIM (Building Information Modeling)

and integrated design practices.
