Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing efficient HVAC systems in compliance with local and international codes, preparing technical documentation, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions for building projects across Qatar.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design HVAC systems including load calculations, duct and pipe sizing, equipment selection, and layout drawings.
Prepare detailed HVAC drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), ASHRAE, SMACNA, and relevant standards.
Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
Review and approve HVAC design documents from contractors and suppliers.
Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors.
Provide technical support during site inspections and project execution phases.
Ensure energy-efficient and sustainable design practices are implemented.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Valid UPDA/MMUP classification (Grade C or higher).
Strong knowledge of HVAC design software such as HAP, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
Proven experience working on building services in consultancy firms in Qatar.
Strong understanding of local regulations and authority requirements.
Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
