Job Description
HVAC Design Engineer:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or relevant.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Design HVAC Systems.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in air conditioning & ventilation using AutoCAD and other design tools.
- Perform load calculations using software such as HAP to determine HVAC requirements.
- Ensure compliance with local state and international codes (e.g., ASHRAE, SMACNA and building codes).
- Select and specify appropriate HVAC equipment and systems based on project requirements and client needs.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, technical specifications and documentation.
- Review and approve shop drawings, submittals and RFIs from contractors.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify proper installation and system performance.
- Support project management by providing technical input, timelines and cost estimates.
