Accounts Payable/receivable Supervisor

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise the current AP team function and responsibilities re vendor payments disbursements, Co-ordination & Review of Accounts Payable Accounting & other entries in SAP, ownership of relevant GL Accounts including month end close responsibilities such as booking journal entries and reconciling GL accounts.
Oversee, promote and enforce the accurate matching and entering of invoices in accordance with RDA (Register of Delegated Authorities).
Ensure Invoicing approvals are present and are as per the Register of Delegated Authorities before processing
Reconcile account statements from vendors and responds to vendor inquiries
Manage treasury and cash including cash forecasting for the EMEA region and banking administration maintenance.
Drive AP Process improvements and positive change proactively while ensuring the appropriate financial controls and best practices environment are implemented
Assume responsibility for Invoicing and Credit Control .
Prepare VAT returns, monitor and review VAT compliances & processes to ensure maximum efficiency. Additionally, identify possible process improvements
Manage Tax Accounting / Coding of transactions within the GL including and not limited to Oman Corporation and Withholding Taxes and Corporation Tax in Kuwait and any other country as applicable.
Work with Business Unit Accounting team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of entries required for month end close
Cooperate and coordinate with external and internal auditor in any undertaking which may expediate their work
Liaise with the Supply Chain department to improve SAP processes
Comply with all Enerflex HR, Quality, HSE, and all the Company policies, procedures, processes, work instructions and guidelines
Perform all other duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager
Job Specifications
Minimum 7 years’ of AP, management & financial Accounting experience in an MNC / IFRS led environment. Experience in leading a small team and driving change
Experience in construction or oil & gas or mining environment is required
Minimum degree in Accounting or equivalent
Knowledge and experience in regional Multi-currency, VAT and other Taxes as applicable
Strong organization skills including the ability to multitask, handle multiple deadlines and changing priorities, extremely well organized with excellent time management skills
In depth knowledge / proficient user of SAP R3 and Microsoft Excel"
Highly analytical and insightful, skilled in directing financial analysis and confident in recommending actions to capture opportunities sand solve problems
Strong communication in English language, both oral and written.
Capable of working in a team environment and using strong interpersonal skills to guide attainment of goals by participating and communicating as a team.
Working Conditions
Office base environment. Flexibility is required.
