Job Description

JOB PURPOSE To achieve optimum utilization of human resources across allocated client groups by supporting business partners in the initiation and implementation of contemporary HR practices in employee engagement, technical and leadership development and employee relations. To lead Saudi specific projects and representing Sanofi on external bodies and in front of local organization. To be responsible for compliance of people related matters and projects in Saudi (such as benefits, labor relations, recruitment etc).

KEY RESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Country HR Lead: Act as company representative in country, both towards internal stakeholders (such as the Management Team, senior managers, employees and employee representatives) and external entities (such as government, universities and court) to provide trustful guidance on people matters. Act as a partner contributing with a country view, towards managers, employees to promote decision making that is fair and considers the overall impact in the country. Advise stakeholders (internal or external) about the frame of local legislation, proactively raise eventual constraints and mitigation to be considered, in order to ensure compliance in the implementation of Sanofi's management decisions. Drive local policy on disciplinary and grievance, coordinating the necessary steps of these processes in coordination with stakeholders, in order to guarantee compliant decision making. Promote and monitor HR country specific projects (e.g., employees' engagement strategy for the country, employees' benefits package, culture and values), in order to contribute for leveraging employees' engagement and the branding of the company within the country. Serve as point of contact to labor and government regulatory agencies. Provide advice and coaching to line managers in a Country according to established HR policies and procedures to enable people management topics. Lead the country in taking care of all people leadership responsibilities, expressing, driving and promoting company's culture and values;

HRBP Greater Gulf:

Acts as Business Partner, strategic solution provider, advisor and coach to allocated clients. Understands the business' strategic needs and identifies opportunities to improve organisation capability and employee engagement and well-being. Contributes to strategic HR planning and in defining the HR strategy for the geography, Business Unit and function level. Assesses gaps between current and desired states, and deploys action plans and change management to resolve them. Builds and maintains effective Employee relations. Ensures the implementation of Corporate HR policies in close coordination with MCO HR, and Centres of Expertise (Performance Management, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Management and Headcount Control and Recruitment Planning) Performance and Recognition and Compensation Ensures that processes are completed in a consistent manner to meet expected performance levels. Reviews the P&R recommendations from allocated client groups and provides appropriate feedback and challenge. Communicates results and process learnings to business partners and provides feedback to Centre of Expertise.

Talent Management and Succession Planning

Leads the Talent Management and Succession Planning process for allocated client groups.

Facilitates development and training opportunities for Early and High Potentials through job rotation, Talent Exchange and participation in corporate events (Seminars, Site Business Reviews etc.)

Rigorously follows-up action plans for Potentials, Concerns and the succession of key positions.

Recruitment Acts as Primary Recruiter in the end to end recruitment process Designs and participates in the recruitment, selection and decision-making process on appointments for allocated client groups Provides guidance and direction on complex HR and business issues. Acts, when required as the Investigator in disciplinary or grievance cases. Analyses and trends key HR metrics in order to identify gaps in performance at individual, management or team level e.g. attendance, polyvalence, disciplinaries and grievances, voluntary labour turnover, and support managers to achieve target levels of performance. Recommends the commissioning of services and information from the HR Centres of Expertise or HR Services when expert interventions are required or information is needed to aid good business decisions. Provides feedback about service levels. Builds on-going strong relationships with other HRBP's in the geography in order to identify new opportunities for development and encourage cross functional moves. Proactively contributes to the One HR model at MCO level through participation in ad-hoc projects, benchmarking, auditing, continuous improvement activities, complex case work (for example disciplinary and grievances) etc.

Ethical Leadership Takes personal accountability to use personal experience and knowledge, as well as the training and tools provided by Sanofi, to maintain a good knowledge and understanding of all ethics and governance relevant to the role (Sanofi Policies and Procedures and any relevant legal requirements) and demonstrate personal leadership in applying these to all work undertaken. Escalates any decisions, or seek the support of colleagues or management if personal knowledge and understanding is not at the level required to carry out any part of the role

Environmental and Safety Leadership To care for his/her own safety and wellbeing and the safety of others, and to co-operate with the company to ensure a safe place of work. Employees are therefore expected to: Support and conform to Company HSE rules and procedures to ensure a safe, healthy, and pollution free work environment. Take appropriate actions to support the Health, and Safety of all the employees (including contractors and temporary persons) e.g. medical surveillance, onboarding training for the new joiners, update of HSE clause in each job role, training need identification, emergency preparedness etc. Engage the HSE department in the related activities (where applicable), and be sure that the work performed is in compliance with the local HSE regulations, Corporate HSE Policy and key requirements. Demonstrate commitment to HSE through active involvement in the related programs and campaigns. Participate in HSE Committee meeting (review of the HSE performance, accident investigation and other programs). Follow the HSE guidelines and take all necessary measures applicable to effectively implement the 'HSE action plan (PASS)' in the work area and the activities. Ensure the team is aware of and has access to different HSE programs, training, and the road safety agenda etc. Promote and follow the HSE rules and 'Act responsibly' to protect yourself and others from an injury and ill health conditions while at the work locations and/or while using road. Ensure on time closure of HSE actions owned by the department. Report all the accident/ incident (if any) to the HSE Manager, and support to investigate within the area of responsibility.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS Degree or equivalent experience Solid understanding of Sanofi Group HR policies Demonstrable success in a HR generalist role; has handled complex employee cases across discipline, grievance, capability, etc. Strong project management skills Customer service orientation Strong verbal reasoning skills and written communication abilities Strong facilitation and communication skills with an ability to influence at all levels Strong coaching, consulting and team-building skills and observational techniques
