Role Summary
The HSSE Compliance Officer conducts inspections and audits, manages HSSE documentation and reporting, coordinates with authorities, and supports business units in closing action plans. The role requires strong attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and effective communication to ensure timely resolution of HSSE issues and consistent compliance across Al-Futtaim locations.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct HSSE inspections and audits to identify risks and hazards across Al-Futtaim businesses
• Participate in inspections across business units as assigned by the Line Manager
• Prepare detailed audit and inspection reports with clear recommendations and corrective actions
• Track HSSE inspections, action plans, and follow-ups to closure within agreed timelines
• Analyze HSSE data to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement
• Review and submit audit, inspection, incident, and investigation reports within set timeframes
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly HSSE progress reports to management
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSSE regulations, standards, and best practices
• Manage incident reporting, investigations, and trackers, ensuring timely escalation to management
• Implement and maintain document control systems and HSSE databases
• Support internal and external audits, meetings, and inspection calendars
• Liaise with authorities such as UAE Civil Defense, Dubai Police, and SIRA for approvals and certifications
• Handle HSSE-related procurement requests and maintain payment trackers
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive safety, security, and environmental information
• Support HSSE leadership during absences and participate in events as required

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of experience in HSSE compliance, audits, or inspections
• Strong knowledge of UAE HSSE regulations and industry standards
• Certification in HSSE management or a related field is preferred
• Strong analytical, reporting, and documentation skills
