Job Description
Job Overview: Coordinates the company\xe2\x80\x99s safety program on projects or facility/offshore equipment.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Coordinates HSES programs to prevent or correct unsafe working conditions or acts, utilizing knowledge of industrial processes and industrial health, environmental, security and safety regulations.
- Audits equipment and machinery to identify unsafe conditions or inadequate procedures.
- Support the crews by providing and/or conducting HSES training, meetings and audits with employees/supervisors to establish a safe working environment.
- Provides HSES and statistical reports to customer project representatives as well as McDermott Project Leaders and HSES Department.
- Coordinates incident investigations, reviewing for completeness and accuracy as well as finding the true cause of accidents.
- Helps identify incident trends.
- Coordinates industrial hygiene efforts on projects and/or the facility/vessel.
- Coordinates environmental efforts on projects and/or the facility/vessel.
- Ensures through the respective supervisors that employees are in compliance with safe work behaviors and are wearing the necessary protective equipment.
- Coordinates with supervision and safety committee members in all Safety, Health, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene Audits and Security.
- Organized and disciplined individual with well-developed communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills required to deal effectively with operational management throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Over 5 years of experience
- HSES Degree or Certification; equivalent relevant experience
