HSE Officer (Health, Safety, and Environment Officer)
Minimum Experience: 5 years

The HSE Officer is responsible for promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and project-specific HSE plans. They conduct inspections, deliver training, and investigate incidents to prevent accidents and injuries, fostering a proactive safety culture on site.
Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and audits, reporting hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Assist in the development and delivery of HSE inductions and toolbox talks.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain HSE records, including inspection reports, incident reports, and training logs.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.
• Coordinate with first-aiders and emergency response teams.
• Promote environmental awareness and ensure proper waste management practices.
• Stay updated on relevant HSE legislation and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an HSE role within the construction industry.
• Professional certification such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH Managing Safely, or equivalent is required.
• Thorough knowledge of local and international HSE regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence safe behavior.
• Ability to conduct training and lead incident investigations.
