The HSE Officer will play a key role in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards on our project sites. This role ensures that all site activities comply with local regulations, client requirements, and company policies, promoting a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and guidelines in compliance with UAE labor laws and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workplace health and safety compliance.
Identify potential hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement preventive measures.
Prepare and submit HSE reports, inspection checklists, and incident/accident investigation reports.
Conduct toolbox talks, safety drills, and training sessions for workers and staff.
Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) by all personnel on site.
Maintain records of safety inspections, incident reports, and safety equipment inventory.
Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to ensure safety compliance on active job sites.
Report unsafe acts or conditions and recommend corrective actions to the management.
Assist in developing emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Occupational Health & Safety (preferred)
Certified in
NEBOSH IGC
, OSHA, or other relevant HSE qualifications
Strong understanding of UAE HSE regulations and site safety practices
Proficient in report writing, risk analysis, and incident investigation
Excellent communication and observation skills
Ability to train and engage with multicultural teams
Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and highly respons
