HSE Officer
Location: Ajman
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified HSE Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing our Health, Safety, and Environmental programs to ensure a safe and compliant workplace. This role is critical in fostering a strong safety culture and requires a proactive individual with excellent training skills.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with local and international regulations.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Design and deliver effective safety training, inductions, and toolbox talks for employees at all levels.
  • Maintain all HSE documentation, records, and reports, including permits, inspections, and incident logs.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant HSE legal and other requirements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and awareness campaigns across the organization.
  • Advise management on HSE performance and recommend improvements.
  • Conduct emergency response drills and ensure preparedness.
  • Perform any other HSE-related duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Valid UAE Driving License and own car are mandatory.
  • Available to join immediately.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) certification is required.
  • 2-3 years of functional HSE experience in a large organization.
  • Proven experience in conducting safety trainings and presentations.
  • In-depth knowledge of UAE HSE regulations and best practices.
Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and train a diverse workforce.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
