Key Responsibilities:
Conduct primary source verification for healthcare employee credentials, including licenses, certifications, training, and employment history, by directly contacting educational institutions, medical organizations, and other relevant bodies.
Verify medical licenses, board certifications, and other healthcare qualifications in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the HR team to ensure that all new healthcare hires meet the necessary credentials and qualifications before onboarding.
Review and validate healthcare-related employee records, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Investigate discrepancies or inconsistencies in professional qualifications and resolve issues promptly.
Provide timely reports on verification findings to HR and compliance teams, identifying any issues or areas requiring follow-up.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare credentialing processes, laws, and regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Experience in primary source verification, particularly for healthcare professionals (medical licenses, certifications, and qualifications).
Familiarity with healthcare credentialing standards and regulatory requirements, such as those required by medical boards or healthcare accreditation bodies.
Strong attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies in professional qualifications.
Proficiency with HR software and healthcare credentialing systems.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Prior experience working in the healthcare sector , including exposure to healthcare HR processes, background checks, and credentialing systems.
