Job Description

Job Summary: The HR Supervisor in the Medical Equipment Manufacturing Industry oversees HR functions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and employee satisfaction in a highly regulated environment. This role involves managing recruitment, employee relations, training, performance management, and HR policies while adhering to industry-specific regulations (e.g., FDA, ISO, OSHA). Key Responsibilities: 1. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
  • Lead recruitment efforts for manufacturing, engineering, and administrative roles.
  • Ensure compliance with industry-specific hiring standards (e.g., background checks for GMP environments).
  • Oversee onboarding programs tailored to medical equipment manufacturing (safety protocols, regulatory training).
2. Employee Relations & Compliance:
  • Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions in line with labor laws and company policies.
  • Ensure adherence to FDA, ISO 13485, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements in HR practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of medical device industry labor trends and compliance updates.
3. Training & Development:
  • Coordinate GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety, and compliance training for employees.
  • Develop career path programs for technical and operational staff.
  • Partner with department heads to identify skill gaps and training needs.
4. Performance Management:
  • Administer performance appraisal systems, ensuring alignment with manufacturing KPIs.
  • Guide managers on feedback, coaching, and corrective action plans.
5. Compensation & Benefits:
  • Assist in salary benchmarking for specialized roles (e.g., biomedical engineers, production technicians).
  • Manage benefits programs, including health and safety incentives relevant to manufacturing.
6. HR Policies & Documentation:
  • Update HR policies to reflect industry-specific regulations (e.g., cleanroom protocols, hazardous material handling).
  • Maintain accurate records for audits (FDA, ISO, etc.).
7. Workplace Safety & Culture:
  • Collaborate with EHS (Environmental Health & Safety) teams to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Organize employee engagement initiatives to reduce turnover in a high-skills industry.
