Job Description

We are looking for an HR Partner Leader for India, Middle East, Africa and Turkey to be based either in UAE, South Africa, India, Egypt or Turkey. This person will be responsible to lead a group of HR Partners at a country and regional level providing a best in class Employee Experience through exceptional delivery client services and is responsible to provide innovative solutions aimed at building and improving the cultural mindset within the organization. The HR Partner Leader is accountable for the performance and results of the organization through the development and execution of the organizations operational strategy and the successful implementation of the people priorities aligned to business and function strategy, to ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, working closely with the Country/regional leader. Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Leads the development of the HR Partner organization in the region.
  • Leads an organization of HR Partners who consult with leaders on programs, processes, and people, delivering a best in class Employee Experience.
  • Ensures personal and career development of team members.
  • Provides career and overall development coaching and guidance to employees
  • Ensures leaders and employees receive appropriate coaching on organization and talent issues.
  • Ensures compliance with local labor laws and government regulations in each country across the region.
  • Will be the member of IMEAT Leadership Team and partner with them to lead the People Agenda for the region.
  • Will consult and support the IMEAT Leadership Team Members with regards to HR matters.
  • To maintain a strong relationship and close partnership with key stakeholders such as Country Leadership, Business Leaders and Function Heads to provide HR Solutions.
  • Works closely with regional Leadership to ensure the regional growth efforts, challenges and opportunities related to people are addressed and strategically planned.
  • Understands and Drives the VOICE, I&D and EX Efforts based on regional needs jointly with key stakeholders across the region and HR Organization.
  • Understands and drives the key Certifications and Licenses to be obtained in the region such as BBBEE in SA, Emiratization in UAE, and other localization laws in the GCC markets.
  • Ensure the New HR Model is well communicated across the region and activities are regularly revisited and updated.
  • Champions One HR Culture
  • Sets a role model for Dow’s Cultural Attributes and advocates for Dow’s Ethics and Compliance Policies across the region.
  • Networks with the Key Dow Joint Venture Leadership in the region and ensure Dow employees on assignment or secondment agreement are supported.
  • Works closely with various stakeholders to ensure the Succession Plans are in place for key roles in the region and Leadership Development is given a priority.
  • Revamps or maintains strong Direct Partnership Strategy across the organization through setting the right action plans with key site leadership teams in the region.
  • Understands and drives alignment with key manufacturing sites in the region to ensure adherence with stipulated Labour Relations policies.
  • Understands, is up-to-date on, and drives alignment with local laws and legislations in cooperation with HR Solutions to maintain market aligned and competitive Total Rewards Policies in each country and across the region.
  • Become a Change Agent and advocate to increase HR and Dow Digitalization efforts in the region.
  • Consults and advices leaders outside of the region with people related matters.
  • Is innovative, proactive and brings an outside in perspective.
  • Reduces and removes inefficiencies in the system; Proposes improvements to key stakeholders beyond HR Related Activities to ensure regional growth opportunities.
  • Contributes to regional growth efforts and actively participate in the successful execution of the regional goals.
  • Participates in regional and global HR Projects on an annual bases.
  • Participates in internal and external events to showcase Dow’s brand and represent Dow to external Talents.
Qualifications:
  • Language: English is essential. Arabic and/or French will be beneficial.
  • A Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Communications or HR Related Majors.
  • Strong Business and Financial Acumen.
  • Active user of Dow’s Digital Platforms such as Workday, MS Teams, Service Now, etc.
  • Incumbent can be in one of the Major Locations of IMEAT Region (i.e. Dubai, Johannesburg, Cairo, Mumbai or Istanbul).
