Housekeeping Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the housekeeping staff and operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic appeal of guest rooms and public areas. This role involves inspecting rooms, training attendants, managing inventory, and serving as a critical link between the housekeeping team and management.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, train, and motivate a team of Room Attendants and Housing Attendants.
• Inspect guest rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure they meet the hotel's established standards of cleanliness and maintenance.
• Assign daily duties and work schedules to housekeeping staff, adjusting for check-outs, stay-overs, and special requests.
• Monitor and control the inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, towels, and amenities, placing orders as needed.
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues (e.g., HVAC problems, plumbing issues) to the engineering department.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
• Ensure lost and found items are logged and stored correctly.
• Maintain accurate records, such as room status reports, attendance logs, and performance reports.
• Conduct daily briefings with the housekeeping team and participate in departmental meetings.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or Senior Room Attendant.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation standards, and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
• Proficiency in hotel management software is often required.
