Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and guest satisfaction are met consistently across all assigned areas. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership & Management:
  • Supervise, train, motivate, and schedule the housekeeping attendants and housemen.
  • Conduct daily briefings with the housekeeping team to assign tasks and communicate priorities.
  • Perform regular inspections of team members' work to ensure adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Provide constructive feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Quality Control & Inspections:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure they meet the company's strict cleanliness and presentation standards.
  • Check VIP rooms, arrivals, and departures to ensure they are prepared to the highest standard.
  • Monitor and manage the inventory of guest supplies, cleaning supplies, and linens.
Operational Excellence:
  • Coordinate with the Front Office regarding room status, check-outs, and VIP arrivals.
  • Report and follow up on any maintenance issues or defects in guest rooms or public areas.
  • Ensure all lost and found items are logged and stored according to procedure.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports (e.g., room status, productivity, attendance).
Guest Satisfaction:
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and concerns.
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and courteous manner, striving to exceed their expectations.
  • Take initiative to resolve any guest issues related to housekeeping.
Health & Safety:
  • Ensure all team members adhere to established health, safety, and sanitation policies.
  • Guarantee the proper and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a housekeeping role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity, preferably within a hotel or large residential facility.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in Housekeeping or Hospitality is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead, train, and develop a diverse team.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a strong commitment to cleanliness.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical mobility and stamina to be on foot for extended periods and handle moderate lifting.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software (e.g., MS Office, hotel management systems - knowledge of Opera PMS is a plus).
