Manager Job Summary

The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained across assigned facilities. The role includes managing staff, supplies, schedules, and quality control while ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Supervision

Plan and oversee daily housekeeping operations Supervise housekeeping supervisors, cleaners, and support staff Assign duties, prepare duty rosters, and manage staff attendance Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards
Staff Management & Training

Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safety, and use of equipment Monitor staff performance and conduct evaluations Ensure proper grooming, discipline, and professionalism of staff
Quality, Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards Manage proper use, storage, and handling of cleaning chemicals Ensure adherence to company policies and local regulations
Inventory & Cost Control

Monitor housekeeping supplies, chemicals, and equipment Prepare purchase requests and control consumption to minimize wastage Maintain stock records and coordinate with procurement
Coordination & Reporting

Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and management teams Handle customer or management complaints related to housekeeping Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly housekeeping reports
