The Housekeeping Coordinator supports the housekeeping department by coordinating daily operations, managing communication between housekeeping staff and other hotel departments, and ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet the hotel's cleanliness and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and communicate with housekeeping staff, front desk, maintenance, and laundry to ensure smooth workflow.
Update and monitor room status in the property management system (clean, dirty, out of order).
Handle guest requests related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
Assist in scheduling and dispatching housekeeping tasks to ensure timely room cleaning.
Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; coordinate orders as needed.
Prepare daily housekeeping reports (arrival lists, room status, maintenance requests).
Conduct quality inspections of guest rooms and public areas.
Assist in training new housekeeping staff on procedures and hotel standards.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Support housekeeping management with administrative tasks and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality, preferably in a coordination or administrative role.
Familiarity with hotel management software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Detail-oriented with a customer-service mindset.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple requests efficiently.
Flexible with working hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
