Provides customized and personalized childcare for their children in their home.
Administers one-on-one care and meets the physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs of the children.
Making/changing the children\xe2\x80\x99s beds and keeping their rooms clean and tidy.
Supervising baths for older children.
Dressing children appropriate to the child\'s activities.
Ensuring the bathroom is clean and tidy after use with the children.
Planning meals for children.
Supervising children\'s meals.
Cleaning and washing up after children\'s meals.
Scheduling and coordinating children\'s activities.
Transporting children to school and other activities.
Undertaking appropriate creative activities with the children.
Undertaking appropriate educational activities with the children.
Undertaking appropriate outdoor activities with the children.
Planning and supervising rest, bed and nap times.
Reading to and with the children.
Helping with homework.
Putting away the children\xe2\x80\x99s books, clothes, toys after use.
Tidying children\'s bedrooms and play areas.
Reinforcing appropriate discipline for the children.
Implementing daily routines.
May include additional household tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, housekeeping, and laundry

Education and Experience

Minimum High school graduate
Further training in child care and development such as a formal nanny training program, early childhood classes and/or in-service training
Proven child care experience with references
First Aid and CPR certification
