The Host/Waitress is responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests, managing seating arrangements, and providing attentive table service. This dual role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
Manage reservations and walk-in guests using the seating chart or reservation system.
Assign tables efficiently to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.
Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries or bookings.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station and entrance area.
Present menus and explain daily specials or promotions.
Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
Serve meals and drinks in a timely and courteous manner.
Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction.
Handle payments and operate POS systems.
Clear tables and reset for the next guests.
Follow hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards.
