Job Description

The Hostess/Cashier is the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations and waitlists, and ensuring smooth flow of guests. As a cashier, they handle billing, process payments, and maintain accurate cash records, ensuring customer satisfaction from entry to exit.

Key Responsibilities:Hostess Duties:

Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables. Maintain reservation and waitlist systems accurately. Answer phone calls professionally and assist with inquiries or bookings. Manage seating arrangements and table rotations to optimize service flow. Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance and waiting area. Coordinate with waitstaff and kitchen for smooth service.

Cashier Duties:

Present bills, receive payments (cash, credit/debit, digital wallets), and issue receipts. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately. Ensure proper cash handling and reconcile cash drawer at the end of shifts. Manage refunds, voids, and discounts as per policy. Maintain proper records of daily transactions. Respond to billing queries or complaints courteously and promptly.
