Job Summary
Although this role is based in Dubai, the successful candidate will be supporting all hotel projects in the Middle East and further and therefore relevant regional experience is preferred.
The objective of the role is to support the hospitality division in all technical aspects of the hospitality lifecycle
Pre-opening: attend coordination meetings with the architects, interior designers, engineers and consultants as required and manage, on behalf of owners topics such as:
Project handover.
FLS and MEP
Prioritize areas for handover.
Snagging and defects reporting.
Review handover documentation including statutory permits, completion certificates, O&M manuals, as built drawings etc.
Acceptance of the project from the owner\xe2\x80\x99s team.
Compile formal handover report from Technical Services to Hotel Operations.
Establish and maintain communication system to provide timely and on-going project status reports to the Group Director of Technical Services.
Establish and monitor record keeping procedures for all documents received and issued for the project.
Ensure that all meetings attended are properly recorded and maintained.
Compile a comprehensive deviations report highlighting areas of the project that do not comply with operator Design Guidelines, Brand Standards or applicable international standards.
FF&E and IT coordination.
Technical Due Diligence
Coordinate and execute all hospitality technical due diligence
Ongoing asset management:
Ensure hotel assets are maintained at par with investment vision
Feasibility Study
Establish and review the Hotel\xe2\x80\x99s brief and space allocation requirements.
Prepare area programs.
Design reviews:
Review and comment on preliminary Project concepts and any amendments with regards to master planning, Site infrastructure, (including buildings, roads, landscaping, car parks); Basements, public area floor plans, room and suite layouts, Serviced Apartment designs, back-of-house plans and preliminary architectural and technical specifications
General:
Space allocation and organization of various premises of the hotel. Architectural, interior design and landscaping plans and specifications.
Kitchen designs and proposed kitchen equipment. Laundry facilities and equipment.
Building facade and high access cleaning and maintenance proposals.
HVAC, electrical, mechanical and plumbing installations. Life, safety systems.
IT installations
Security installations
Co-ordinate mock up room and interior design reviews
Obtain ongoing input from Egis Technical Experts as required. Support owners on value engineering exercises and liaise with operator on their behalf.
Profile
Skills and Experience In order to be considered you must have the following qualifications and competencies:
Minimum HNC / HND or Degree in Project Management or building engineering/services or architect
Minimum 3 years experience in a similarly position with strong people management.
Arabic language is appreciated
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. Proven planning, estimating and project delivery skills.
People management skills.
Able to manage frequent travel.
Able to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
Proficient with MS suite of documents
Ability to communicate with people at all levels of the organization
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Flexible, adaptable and diplomatic
Demonstrate initiative and creativity
Good organizational skills
