To serve as Head of Science, Coordinate and be responsible for relevant subject departmental teachers. The person appointed will be able to lead and inspire the department, encouraging students to enjoy and succeed in Science at all levels. 1. The prime role of the Head of the Department is to provide strong academic leadership. 2. The Head of Department is required to lead, manage and develop the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities. Key Work Responsibilities 1. To ensure effective curriculum Planning and delivery along with the committee, SLT and coordinators. 2. To Organize Departmental meetings, prepare minutes and coordinate with teachers for timely completion of planned department tasks and goals. 3. To work on bringing the required results for the said department and school. 4. To work towards qualitative Teaching and learning and plan activities which bring in effective growth in learning standards of department and school. 5. Effective implementation of school assessment policy in the respective department. 6. To conduct lesson observation and setting assessment papers as per policy of school. 7. To identify the professional development requirement in the department and work closely to fulfill the aim alongside management. 8. To play vital role in SEF and SDP and evidence collection. 9. To assist SLT's for preparation of ADEK inspections. 10. Management of educational resources, assignments and materials. 11. Creating work plan and course of action for the year for department. 12. To coach and mentor HOD departments teachers with learning and development in mind. 13. To work effectively on Learning Management system.
