HK Supervisor (Housekeeping Supervisor)
Job Summary:
The Housekeeping (HK) Supervisor leads the housekeeping team to ensure all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation. This hands-on role involves supervising staff, inspecting areas, managing supplies, and ensuring guest/tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, schedule, and assign daily tasks to housekeeping attendants and porters.
• Inspect rooms, offices, restrooms, and public areas to ensure cleaning standards are met and take corrective action where needed.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment; place orders as needed within budget.
• Train new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service.
• Report maintenance issues and damages to the engineering department.
• Handle guest/tenant inquiries and complaints related to housekeeping promptly and professionally.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is used, maintained, and stored correctly.
• Uphold strict safety standards, particularly regarding chemical handling and wet floor safety.
• Prepare daily reports on room status, attendance, and any special occurrences.
• Monitor and control linen inventory and uniform distribution.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma required; further education or certification in hospitality is a plus.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in a housekeeping role, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
• Excellent eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory management.
