HIAB/lorry-mounted crane operator certification

(RTA/DM/OSHA-equivalent or approved training provider). Minimum

3+ years

experience operating HIAB/lorry-mounted cranes in construction or utilities. Proven knowledge of rigging, slinging, hand signals, and load-securing best practices. Ability to read load charts and assess lifting radius, ground conditions, and boom limitations. Clean driving record with strong road safety awareness. Physically fit; able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Basic English communication; Arabic/Hindi/Urdu an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a HIAB/lorry-mounted crane to load, unload, and position materials and equipment. Drive heavy vehicles to job sites, following approved routes and site access procedures. Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and pre-lift inspections (vehicle, crane, boom, outriggers, slings, hooks, chains). Verify load weights, read load charts, and ensure correct rigging and load securing. Set up crane with proper ground conditions, outriggers, exclusion zones, and signaling with rigger/banksman. Follow lifting plans and instructions from the Lifting Supervisor; stop work if conditions are unsafe. Maintain accurate logs (trip sheets, fuel, inspections, maintenance defects). Perform basic preventive maintenance and coordinate repairs with the workshop. Adhere to UAE traffic regulations and company HSE policies, including PPE and toolbox talks. Support site teams with additional logistics tasks as required.
