Operate various types of buses to transport students between locations, interstate trips, scheduled routes in a city. work early morning, late evening and weekend shifts, and fully responsible for the safety of their students. and must do their best to avoid accidents.
Ensure that their vehicle is maintained appropriately. include both regular and preventative maintenance.
keep records of their commute times and report mechanical issues, delays or other dilemmas.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure compliance with UAE's traffic laws and regulations governing the operation of a vehicle for passenger use.
Follow precise schedules and must adjust their driving according to traffic and weather conditions to arrive at each stop at the designated time.
Ensure the safety of the students and keep the bus in safe working condition.
Keep records of their commute times and report mechanical issues, delays or other dilemmas.
Pick up students at stops along established routes and drop them off at university, (Round).
Transport students and faculty to special events, such as field trips or sporting events.
Ensure that the vehicles are operating properly each day by testing brakes, tires and other components and report any non-routine problems or malfunctioning equipment to management.
Keep track of the amount of fuel used, number of students transported, and miles driven, which they typically report to supervisors each week.
Follow specified instructions, procedures, and standards for the efficient and safe operation of the vehicle, and for the care and safety of passengers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
High school certification.
Two years of experience that is directly related to duties and responsibilities specified.
Valid UAE heavy bus driving license.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
Excellent customers service skills.
Very Good communication skills in Arabic /English languages or both.
Active listener.
Excellent knowledge of UAE roads.
Good knowledge of UAE traffic laws and regulations governing the operation of a commercial passenger vehicle.
Clear driving records without traffic violations.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
Light physical effort. Requires some standing or walking.
Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
Work flexible hours as appropriate to program requirements and may be required to remain on-call (work early morning, late evening and weekend shifts).
