Overview of the role
Al-Futtaim Logistics has a mission of delivering the highest service level, quality and efficiency to be the region\'s leading Logistics Provider. As a Heavy Vehicle Driver - General Transport, your task is to deliver cargo to the correct location, without damage and whilst adhering to all current company policies

We need x4 Heavy Vehicle Drivers to be based in Dubai.

What you will do
As a Heavy Vehicle Driver, you will transport goods to various locations throughout UAE or GCC (including car carriers, side curtain trailers, flat beds, low beds, side loaders and other heavy goods vehicles) or light cargo vehicles (3, 7, 10 tons vehicles). To assist in loading and offloading cargo into/from the vehicles. To maintain contact with the planning office to receive instructions or to be dispatched to the new location or to update delivery status. Minimum of 4 trips per day should be achieved based on volume and distance, unless otherwise its long-haul movements. Ability to use hand-held devises and application to report milestones and incidents. Basic communication skills to converse with external agencies and departments like customs security and loading offloading site personnel

Required skills to be successful

• Holds a UAE driving license for category 3 & 4
• Minimum of 2 years\' experience in driving any of the following - car carriers, side curtain trailers, flat beds, low beds, side loaders or any other heavy goods vehicles
• Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenances procedures.
• Capable of following written instructions and documented procedures.

About the team
The role will report to the Operations Supervisor, and you will be working in a very busy and fast pace environment.

What equips you for the role
The ideal candidate for this role should have a heavy-duty vehicle UAE driving license with class category 3 & 4. You will have at least 2 years\' experience in driving car carriers, flat bed or low bed trailer trucks and heavy goods vehicles. You will have the ability to speak, read and write in English and preferably some basic Arabic speaking & writing skills.
