Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Safe Transportation:

Operate heavy vehicles (trailers, trucks, etc.) to transport goods between warehouses, ports, and client locations while adhering to UAE traffic laws and company driving policies.

Off-Road & Desert Driving:

Safely drive in off-road conditions, including desert terrain, ensuring secure transport of materials and vehicles across challenging environments.

Loading & Unloading Support:

Assist in the safe loading and unloading of cargo as needed, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.

Pre-Trip & Post-Trip Inspections:

Conduct daily vehicle checks (brakes, tires, lights, fluid levels, etc.) before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness. Report any defects or maintenance needs immediately.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate delivery logs, trip sheets, fuel usage reports, and proof of delivery documents. Submit records promptly to the Operations Coordinator.

Route Planning & Efficiency:

Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining flexibility to adjust for traffic, road closures, or operational needs. Communicate delays or issues promptly.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere strictly to all road safety guidelines, MSDS (where applicable), and internal HSE policies. Ensure compliance with load capacity limits and vehicle operation standards.

Customer Service:

Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients or partners, ensuring timely delivery and addressing concerns courteously.

Team Support:

Cooperate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate dispatch, delivery, and return schedules. Assist in other logistics duties as required.

Qualifications:

Valid UAE Heavy Vehicle Driving License. Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a Heavy Vehicle Driver, preferably in chemical logistics. Proven ability to operate desert trucks and off-road 6x6 vehicles in challenging terrain. Familiarity with UAE road networks, regulations, and traffic systems. Basic mechanical knowledge to perform vehicle checks and report issues. Ability to read and understand delivery documents and instructions. Good communication skills in English
