Operate heavy machinery to perform tasks such as excavation, earthmoving, lifting, grading, and loading materials.
Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functioning; report or repair mechanical issues promptly.
Read and interpret construction plans, site layouts, and grading specifications.
Adhere to safety standards and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate with site supervisors, ground crew, and other team members for coordinated efforts.
Keep daily logs of machine operation and site activity as required.
Assist with general labor tasks when equipment operation is not required.
Qualifications and Skills:
Valid heavy equipment operator license or certification.
Proven experience operating specific machinery (e.g., excavators, backhoes, cranes).
Knowledge of mechanical systems and basic troubleshooting skills.
Physical fitness and stamina to handle demanding work environments.
Strong attention to detail and spatial awareness.
Understanding of safety regulations and hazard prevention.
Work Environment:
Outdoor job sites including construction areas, quarries, and roads.
Exposure to noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
