Key Responsibilities: * Regulatory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with UAE health and safety laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
• Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify hazards in a healthcare environment.
• Safety Policies & Procedures:

• Develop, implement, and monitor occupational health and safety (OHS) programs.
• Train staff on infection control, fire safety, hazardous material handling, and emergency preparedness.
• Incident Management:

• Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses.
• Maintain records and report incidents to management and regulatory authorities as required.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

• Identify potential hazards (biological, chemical, ergonomic, etc.) and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment across all departments.
• Emergency Preparedness:

• Coordinate fire drills, evacuation plans, and disaster response protocols.
• Collaborate with facility management to ensure safety equipment (fire extinguishers, alarms, etc.) is functional.
• Staff Training & Awareness:

• Conduct regular safety training sessions for employees, including new hires.
• Promote a culture of safety through workshops, posters, and communication campaigns.
• Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and training logs.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly safety performance reports for hospital management.

• Education: Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Certifications: NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent; familiarity with UAE OSHAD standards is a plus.
• Experience: 5+ years in health and safety, specifically in a hospital or healthcare facility.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of healthcare-specific hazards (infectious diseases, radiation, etc.).
• Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Language: Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
