Duties:

  • Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental (HSE) strategies for capital projects at the government level, aligning them with public safety and environmental preservation goals.
  • Ensure capital projects comply with government-set HSE regulations and standards, addressing compliance issues proactively.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards, evaluate their impact on public safety and the environment, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate with project executors to develop and maintain emergency response plans for capital projects, ensuring government readiness for various safety and environmental scenarios.
  • Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the government and among all stakeholders, focusing on active participation in HSE initiatives.
  • Identify and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs in capital projects and track progress toward government safety and environmental goals.
  • Implement sustainable practices in capital projects to reduce environmental impact, including waste reduction, energy efficiency, and responsible resource management.
  • Collaborate closely with government bodies, regulatory agencies, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure HSE practices in capital projects meet or exceed government standards and evolve with changing requirements.
