The Role

The Health & Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and enforcing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies to ensure a safe working environment in compliance with UAE laws, local authority regulations, and international HSE standards. Key Responsibilities o Implement and monitor company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and programs. o Ensure compliance with UAE HSE regulations, Civil Defense requirements, and local authority standards. o Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits. o Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions. o Ensure proper use of PPE and enforce safety rules across the site. o Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare reports and corrective action plans. o Conduct HSE induction, toolbox talks, and safety training sessions. o Maintain HSE records, permits, incident logs, and safety documentation. o Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and HR teams on safety initiatives. o Liaise with external authorities, auditors, and emergency services when required. o Monitor waste management, chemical handling, and environmental controls. o Support emergency preparedness plans, drills, and fire safety procedures. o Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in HSE performance



Requirements

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field. o NEBOSH IGC (mandatory or highly preferred in UAE). o Additional certifications such as IOSH, OSHA, or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor are an advantage. o Knowledge of UAE Labor Law, Civil Defense, and local municipality HSE regulations. Experience: o 2-5 years of experience as an HSE Officer in the UAE. o Experience in manufacturing, construction, logistics, or industrial environments preferred. o Familiarity with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 standards.
